Is It Wrong To Pray For Someone's Well Being Without Their Consent?

IS IT WRONG TO PRAY FOR SOMEONES WELL BEING WITHOUT THEIR CONSENT?
Biblical point of view, there is nothing wrong to pray for someone’s well being without their consent. If it is wrong, there would not be a prayer called, prayer of intersession.
God gives us instructions to pray for others in several places in the Bible. The apostle James tells us to “pray for one another, that you may be healed” (James 5:16).
The apostle Paul encourages us to intercede for Church members and ministers, “praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains” (Ephesians 6:18-20).
Paul exhorts us “that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2:1-2, emphasis added throughout).
Jesus Christ even commanded, “Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you” (Matthew 5:44, emphasis added).
Why does God want us to pray for others? Because intercessory prayer reflects God’s own character of outgoing love and mercy. God wants us to think like He does, and praying for others helps us to think beyond ourselves and to grow in compassion for others.
Why does God want us to pray for others? Because intercessory prayer reflects God’s own character of outgoing love and mercy. God wants us to think like He does, and praying for others helps us to think beyond ourselves and to grow in compassion for others.
God compares prayer with sweet-smelling incense that pleases Him (Revelation 5:8).
Misconceptions about intercessory prayer
Intercessory prayer is not a numbers game. God does not have to wait until 10 or 20 or 100 people pray about a situation in order to intervene. Prayer is not a vote or petition that God has to act on if enough people “sign” it. Our prayers can’t force God to do anything. He can and does act when the time is best, whether one or a million pray about it.
Also, intercessory prayer is not something we should do to try to earn points with God so we can collect when something bad happens to us. Our motivation must be love—outgoing, unselfish concern.
What about the person seeking prayers? Can a person ask other believers to pray for him and then find it unnecessary to pray himself? No, we can’t delegate prayer. Prayer is part of our personal relationship with God, and so we must go to Him fervently ourselves, whether or not others are praying for us.
How to intercede in prayer
Prayer is a vital part of our communication with our loving Father in heaven. In the Bible He tells us how we can pray most effectively—in a way that pleases Him. Here are a few biblical principles for effective intercessory prayer. We should pray:
  • From the heart.
  • Regularly. In what is often called the Lord’s Prayer, Jesus told us to pray, “Give us this day our daily bread” . We should pray for our needs and the needs of others every day.
  • In detail. God knows everything; but He wants us to come to Him with all our specific requests because He likes to hear from us and to know what is important to us. The Bible compares our prayers to incense, and God loves prayers that are like “sweet incense beaten fine” (Leviticus 16:12).
  • With faith, knowing that God has all power and loves the people we are praying for.
  • With love. Godly love is totally unselfish and is the essence of God’s character .
  • Fervently. James 5:16 tells us “the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.”
  • With a desire to help where we can. This might include physical help and encouragement. Cards, calls and visits might be helpful. It is not wrong to tell a person you are praying for him or her if it will help encourage the person.
  • Occasionally with fasting. When a situation is very serious or hits close to home for you, you may decide to fast and pray to draw close to God to present your supplication to Him.
Study biblical examples of intercessory prayer
The Bible gives many examples of people praying for others, and we can learn a lot by studying and meditating on these examples. Here are just a few:
  • Abraham interceded for the people of Sodom for the sake of his nephew Lot (Genesis 18:23-33).
  • Moses pleaded for God’s mercy for the sinning people of Israel (Exodus 32:9-14; Numbers 14:11-20).
  • Daniel made supplication to God for his people (Daniel 9:3-19).
  • The apostle Peter prayed for Dorcas (Acts 9:36-41).
  • The apostle Paul prayed for the people he served (Romans 1:9-10; 10:1; Ephesians 1:15-19; Philippians 1:3-11; 1 Thessalonians 3:9-13).
In all, use powerful prayer points to pray. Surely, God will answers your prayers. Amen

What Is The Best Hour For Night Prayers?

WHAT IS THE BEST HOUR FOR NIGHT PRAYERS?
Through the love of God our savior, there is no time we called on God that He will not answer our prayer or prayers. What is important is your faith, believing that your prayer or prayers have been answered.
“Through the love of God our savior, all will be well. Free and changeless is His favor. All is well. Precious is the blood that healed us, perfect is the grace that sealed us, all must be well in the name of Jesus.”
“Thou we pass through tribulation. All is well in His name. Ours is such a full salvation. All is well. Happy, still in God confiding, fruitful,if in Christ abiding, Holy, through the spirit guiding, all must be well.”
“We expect a bright tomorrow through our prayers, all will be well. Faith can sing through days of sorrow, All will be well. Christ our every need supplying, whether living now or dying, All must be well in the name of Jesus. Amen.
As for me , I preferred praying between 12 am -3 am in the Night and God has been faithful to me. He will be faithful to you also, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

What The Bible Says About Forgiveness And Healing.

WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS ABOUT FORGIVENESS AND HEALING.

Today's Verse

“If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14
The verse speaks of God’s conditions for His people in order to receive forgiveness and healing. God’s condition is comprised by different sets of changes. The change of attitude (humble themselves,) a change of communication (pray,) a change of focus (seek my face,) and a change of mind (turn from their wicked ways.) When these changes are accomplished, it results in a change of action and character. This reminds us that we can never receive God’s promise of forgiveness and healing if we will not make the decision to change. God is holy and righteous, but at the same time, He is gracious and merciful also. That is why He gives us opportunities to change even if He has no obligation to do it. That’s God’s wonderful love and grace.

Today's Prayer

Lord, help me to change and forgive me for all my sins. Thank you for your love, and grace, despite my shortcomings and failures. Help me to change my life and to love you more.

My Sacrifice.

Today's Verse

“But I will offer sacrifices to you with songs of praise, and I will fulfill all my vows. For my salvation comes from the Lord along.” – Jonah 2:9
While there is still a lot more to Jonah’s story then one or two verses, this verse in chapter two is probably one of the most important. It is here that Jonah begins to realize his true calling. It is here that he begins to see past his own selfishness and into the bigger picture. At this point he doesn't realize it yet, but God is teaching him one of the most important lessons a believer will ever learn. It is the lesson that reveals our reason for being. Each of us have been given a specific purpose in life and whether you can see it right now or not, it’s there. Jonah makes a solemn promise to “offer songs of praise and fulfill his vow to serve the Lord alone.” Today is a great day for us to do the same.

Today's Prayer

Father God, today I pray the prayer of Jonah. I will indeed offer my song of praise to You and fulfill my vow in service to You alone. Forgive me and teach me, so that I may serve You in the best way I can. Amen.

Lead Us Not Into Temptation O Lord.

LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION O LORD.

Today's Verse

“Let us therefore no longer pass judgement on one another, but resolve instead never to put a stumbling block or hindrance in the way of another” – Romans 14:13
There are always going to be those moments in which we make some type of mistake and stumble as we live our lives. We are only human after all, right? In many ways this is the right assumption, but an important part of living is recognizing those mistakes. One of the biggest mistakes we can make is passing judgement on those around us without first getting the complete picture. We need the other side of the coin, so to speak, to make a sound judgement. Here in the book of Romans, Paul challenges us to do just that. We all have those moments of weakness in our lives, but when we make the extra effort to embrace forgiveness over judgement we break through those moments and live better because of it. --

Today's Prayer

Father God, today I pray that You will help me look past what I see on the surface of everything I encounter. Show me how I can embrace forgiveness over judgement. Amen.

God Loves You.

GOD LOVES YOU.

Today's Verse

"But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Galatians 5:8
This verse tells us that God loves us, but what makes this verse interesting is the phrase “while we were yet sinners.” This phrase speaks of the idea that while we were enemies of God, God displayed His love towards us by sending Jesus to die for our sins. What a beautiful picture of love. We normally wouldn’t love our enemies, but God is different. We are the offender, we are His enemies, but He is the first one to come to us and offer His love and forgiveness. To reject that kind of love is foolishness according to the scriptures. The best response is to accept God’s love and to respond by loving Him with all our heart, soul, and mind (Matthew 22:37). Once we have accepted God’s love, we should reflect that kind of love to others. – Commentary by Jeremy Trio

Today's Prayer

Lord, thank You for loving me unconditionally. Thank You for sending Your son, Jesus Christ, to die for my sins. I wholeheartedly accept Your love. Please help me Lord to love my enemies the way You love me. Amen.

Will God Help Me If I Pray ?

WILL GOD HELP ME IF I PRAY?

God will help you if you seek after God. The reason people are concerned for more than just the physical aspects of life is that they are more than just physical beings. They have something in their make up that makes them different from all other animals. They have a spiritual capacity, something that makes them seek after more than the physical world can provide. All human beings are, in a sense , like God(Genesis 1:27). They long for a meaning to life, and this longing can be satisfied ultimately only by God.
Unlike other animals, human beings are not content simply to have food, shelter and the opportunity for reproduction. Because they have capacity to know God, they have a capacity for the unlimited. That is why, throughout human history, people have consistently tried for greater achievement( even if not always with the best motives), whereas animals are content to remain much as they always were. People have within them a spiritual element that causes them to reach forward for something outside themselves’.
Paul, one of the early Christian missionaries, referred to this when he was preaching to some Greeks in Athens. He saw that they were very religious, having many Gods and many altars. Among their altars was one that they had built in honor of the “unknown” God. Paul pointed out how this indicated that, since humankind was made in God’s image, people would look for God and perhaps find him as they felt about for him(Acts 17:27). Paul then introduced them to the God whom they were seeking.
In all seek after God today and hold your Faith. God will help you if you pray to him. Pray with prayer points that goes with what you want God to do for you(Help). Replace, “Will God help me “ with “God Help Me” and your life will never be same again.

Do God Answer Our Prayers?

DO GOD ANSWERS OUR PRAYERS?
Since faith is the basis of prayer, people cannot use prayer to get their own way; for then they would be arrogantly commanding God instead of humbly submitting to him. They would be wanting their will to be done instead of God’s. Christians are assured that God answers their prayers when they pray in Jesus name . This does not mean that they merely add the words”in Jesus name” to their prayers. Rather it means that they pray on the authority Jesus gives them, and ask for things that have Jesus approval
There is no formula that guarantees answers to prayer regardless of the way people live. Christians must understand God’s word so that they can live in obedience to his teachings and learn to pray for the right things. Unchristian conduct and unchristian attitudes are among the causes of unanswered prayer. A disciple of Jesus who became a leading teacher in the early church once wrote, “We receive from God whatever we ask, because we obey his commands and do what please him. “We are sure that he hears us if we ask him for anything that is according to his will.( 1 John 3:22; 5:14).
At times however, God may choose not to give his people what they ask for, even when they are not guilty of disobedience of selfishness. The reason may be that he has something better for them. Having perfect knowledge, he knows what is best. He may therefore give believers what they would have asked for if they had the full knowledge that God has. These better answers are not always immediately obvious, and therefore patience is a necessary part of true prayer.
Jesus and the New Testament writers repeatedly mention the need for persistence in prayer. This is not because God needs to be persuaded. Christians do not have to beg from a God who is unwilling to give, but they do have to exercise a constant trust in him. Faith is not an occasional exercise that makes a call for supernatural aid and then forgets the matter. Faith involves perseverance. By their constant prayers, Christians express their unwavering faith in their heavenly Father.

10 Important Turning Points Prayer Point For The Christian Family.

10 IMPORTANT TURNING POINTS PRAYER POINTS FOR THE CHRISTIAN FAMILY.

1. By the right hand of the Lord that is glorious in power, your  enemies are dashed to pieces. In the greatness of His majesty those who rise against his purposes in my life are overthrown. They are consumed as fire consumes straw(Exodus 15:6-7).
Those who fight against the Lord's plans for my life are broken; the Lord thunders against them from heaven.

   2.  The weapons of those who shoot at me to persecute me are shattered by the Mighty One of Jacob, the shepherd and the Rock of Israel(Genesis 49:22). By the majestic voice of the Lord and the strength of His mighty arm, His enemies in my domain are shattered(Isaiah 30:30). They are struck with God's scepter and the rod of punishment and fought by His mighty arm(Isaiah 30:31,32).

  3. When going through the deep waters, He is with me. When I go through the river of difficulties, In the name of Jesus, I will not drown. When I walk through fire, I will not be burnt up, the flames will not consume me. Their lives are traded for mine because God had made me precious to Himself and has put honor on me.(Isaiah 43:2-4).

4.Today, I pray in the name of Jesus, that you shall not die but live and show forth His glory in the land of the living(Psalm 118:17). I am made of the Lord a new threshing instrument with many sharp teeth. I tear my enemies apart in Jesus name. I am multiplied and made too mighty for my enemies(Psalm 105:24).

   5. I am not afraid of ten thousand enemies who may surround me on every side because the Lord watches over me. My enemies are slapped on the Face, the teeth of the wicked are shattered(Psalm 3:5-7).

6. All weapons of war against me are destroyed(Zechariah 9:10). All my enemies are crushed like the finest of dust. My attackers are driven away like chaff before the wind. The Lord of Heaven's army will act for me with thunder, earthquake, and the great noise with whirlwind storm, and consuming fire(Isaiah 29:5-6).

     7. Today in the name of Jesus, all who fight against you will varnish like a dream. ; those who attack you like a vision in the night(Isaiah 29:8). All the enemies of God in your life are captured by God's strong right hand. Their evil scheme will never succeed(Psalm 21:8,11).

  8.  Because, there is power in the blood, Breeze from the Lord will blow away  all the tension in and around my life today.

9. Heavenly Father, give me the mind of the Holy Spirit to help me live the rest of my life worthily.

10. By the power in the blood, those who tried to destroy me are humiliated and put to shame. Amen.

God Will Not Forget You Today.

GOD WILL NOT FORGET YOU TODAY.
Final exams were always an interesting part of school days, whether in high school or college. The score was usually half of your total grade. You had to rely on three things: the teacher’s ability to prepare you, your ability to believe in yourself and being able to understand and use what you’ve learned. Every day life is similar to an on going final exam. You want to get the best instruction. This comes from God. His way is flawless. Confidence is the great key. You must believe in God’s power to do all things, and your ability to carry out His plans for your life. A confident spirit is like the ideal statement of assurance and hope. You can accomplish anything with a little self knowledge, a thing called faith, and a belief in a Savior whose power is limitless.

Today's Prayer

Lord, create a new spirit within me – a spirit of confidence. Help me to believe in the person that You created me to be, and to know that through You, all things are possible. Amen.

4 Ways To Pray When You Find Things Hard.

4 WAYS TO PRAY WHEN YOU FIND THINGS HARD.

You'd be hard-pressed to find a Christian who can't recall a time when they found it difficult to pray. Perhaps that's you, now. You're desperate to meet with the Lord but are finding it difficult to focus, or simply don't know how to set aside the time.
While cannoning seven new saints on Sunday, Pope Francis said: "The saints are men and women who enter fully into the mystery of prayer. Men and women who struggle with prayer, letting the Holy Spirit pray and struggle in them.
"They struggle to the very end, with all their strength, and they triumph, but not by their own efforts: the Lord triumphs in them and with them. The seven witnesses who were canonized today also fought the good fight of faith and love by their prayers."
He acknowledged the difficulty prayer can pose. "Jesus tells us in the Gospel: 'Pray always, without ever losing heart,'" he said.
"This is the Christian way of life: remaining steadfast in prayer, in order to remain steadfast in faith and testimony
Take distractions away
If you're tired of trying to persevere with prayer, here are a few simple tips that might help.
It's an obvious one, but it's almost impossible to focus on God when your phone's buzzing and social media notifications are popping up every few minutes. Turn off your phone. Log out of Facebook. Find a quiet spot if you can, and close the door. Stilling yourself before God is much easier when you're not trying to guess who's text you.
Be disciplined
Pope Francis alluded to this in his homily yesterday; part of the challenge of prayer is persevering in it, even when it's hard. Research lead by a team at University College London found a few years ago that it takes 66 days to form a habit – far longer than the widely-held figure of 21 days. That's a long time – more than two months – but if you're disciplined in taking the time to regularly meet with God, it will become easier.
Try new things
Sitting down in a quiet space and meditating on the word of God isn't how everybody will connect best with Him. If that's not for you, why not try something different? Go for a walk and just talk to God about whatever comes to mind, or try one of these alternative ways to pray. See what works for you.
Think beyond yourself
Prayer can become stale when all we do is offer God a long list of things we'd like changed in our own life. We risk prayer time becoming more like a wish-list than a time of petitioning our Maker on behalf of others. 'The Bible in one hand and the newspaper in the other' is a good principle for prayer if you don't know where to begin – there are so many places in the world that need our prayers, inform yourself and let your heart be broken for the lost and the poor.
